  6. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION :
  7. pChART have some features like:
  8. - Draw some chart type based on data-table.
  9. - Support up to 3 series of data.
  10. - Export and Import to Palm/PalmPilot memopad.
  11. - Automatic calculation for the best fit for chart in tiny Palm/PalmPilot
  12.   screen.
  13. - Written and run under PocketC v3.10.
  14.  
  15. *** Note: old PilChART data can not run on pChART.  You must export your old
  16.     PilChART data to memopad, change first line to 'pchart import',
  17.     run pChART, and do import.
  18.     *** You must run PilChART and do export before you run pChART ***.
  19.     Once pChART run, you can not run PilChART.
  20.  
  21. Basic idea behind pChART is easy to used.
  22.  
  23. When you run pChART, it will show chart screen (standard screen or full
  24. screen).
  25.  
  26. You can choose file (up to 20 files) by tap on top right screen, or by
  27. menu>Change file.
  28.  
  29. To edit data, go to menu>Edit Data.
  30. It will show you 3 data area (1..2..3).  You can check the box for data series
  31. you want to draw.
  32. You can enter data by tap on 'Enter' button.  Depends on your check box, it
  33. will ask you to enter value to the data.
  34. If you want to clear all data, tap on 'Clear all' button.
  35. You can edit data.  First, you must tap on data area you want to edit.
  36. For individual edit, tap on data area.  If you tap on number, it will let you
  37. edit all three data.
  38. When there are data to edit (there are a highlight on data), you can tap on:
  39. - 'Enter' button will changes to 'Insert'.
  40.   If you tap on 'Insert', you can insert new data.
  41.   For example, you tap on number 5, new data will be put as number 5, and old
  42.   data will be in number 6, Number 6 will be in number 7, etc.
  43. - 'Edit' button will let you edit the data on highlight area.
  44. - 'Remove' button will remove that data.
  45. To change the filename, tap on "filename".
  46. To Import, tap on "Import"
  47. To Export, tap on "Export"
  48. Tap OK when you finish editing data.

  50. To change preferences, go to menu>preferences.
  51. In preferences, you can do:
  52. - Change chart type.
  53. - Choose data series to display.
  54. - Choose between standard screen or full screen.
  55. - Choose to draw X-axis or Y-axis gridlines.
  56. - Enter maximum data to be displayed on chart screen.  Maximum data depends on
  57.   chart type and series to display.
  58. - Choose between automatic find high-low value for per-page, or for all page.
  59. - Choose with sound or without sound.

  61. INFO ABOUT IMPORT AND EXPORT DATA :
  62. - IMPORT :
  63.   ***  Compatible with QuickSheet export file  ***
  64.   You must write (or paste from another program) a Memo in MemoPad that can be
  65.   read by pChART.
  66.   The first line is the name of the memo, you must name it as "pchart import",
  67.   please be note that the name is case sensitive.
  68.   Each data in series separated by semi colon ';',
  69.   floating point can used 'comma , ' or 'dot . '

  81. *** Note: if there are more than 2 "pchart import" file on memopad, only the
  82.     first file will be import to pChART.

  84. - EXPORT:
  85.   Export will create a filename memo in the Unfiled Category of MemoPad.

  87. WHAT YOU NEED TO RUN pChART:
  88. - Last version of ShareWare PocketC (v3.10) or FreeWare PocketC RunTime
  89.   (v3.10) from Jeremy Dewey as a shell (http://www.orbworks.com).
  90.   Cause new implementation on pChART to the latest PocketC, pChART will give
  91.   an error message if run on PocketC or PocketC RunTime under v3.10.
  92. - PalmPilot with Palm OS v2 (due to PocketC that only can run on Palm OS v2).

  94. HISTORY :
  95. - pChART v1.02 October 7, 1999.  Fix divide by zero error when start pChART
  96.       after PilChART.
  97. - pChART v1.0, October 2, 1999.  New version, due to GREAT feature on PocketC.
  98. - PilChART v2.5 November 7, 1998 Last version of PilChART.
  99. - PilChART v0.5   January 21, 1998.  Start writing PilChART, and learn PocketC.

  101. FUTURE ENHANCEMENT :
  102. * Depends on what your requests on PilChART.

  109. When you register, don't forget to give your pilot HotSync name.  After
  110. register, I will give you Registration Code that only can be used on your
  111. Palm/PalmPilot with your given HotSync name.
  112. Without register, you still can use pChART, there is no missing feature,
  113. only nag you to register when you start the program ;).
  114. After you register, do not delete PocketC databases "PWDart1", cause if you
  115. do delete it, you must entering your Registration Code again.
